This week, Homepage of the Dead is ten years old!
Over the course of the years the site has slowly grown and now includes many pages, articles and interviews which should hopefully prove of interest to both hardened fans and casual readers alike.
HPotD also probably has the most active forums on the internet regarding this genre, so for anyone wanting just a chat or wanting to obtain up to date information, these forums are a great resource.
Also of interest are the original scripts for Dawn and Day of the Dead. If you've read them elsewhere chances are they were 'borrowed' from here. They didn't exist online until they were hand typed in for your reading pleasure.
HPotD is also home to probably the most comprehensive memorabilia database as well. Wondering what merchandise has been made over the years? Then have a look through the Memorabilia Database (memorabilia.homepageofthedead.com).
And, without a doubt, this site also has the biggest collection of fiction for the genre on the internet - now over 750 contribution (excluding contributions into the newly added horror and scifi categories). Fancy reading a couple of stories? Then visit the Fiction Section (fiction.homepageofthedead.com).
However! What must be remembered is that none of this would have been possibe without the regular visitors, posters and contributors who have quite simply helped keep this site alive. So a big thank you must go out to everyone who has visited and contributed over the past ten years!

It's a great community. I'd make love to it if it was a woman.
I wonder how much money it costs to run this site....

aye, it is a great forum, lots of funny youtube vids, great film makers section and lots of interesting conversation, and immature ones too plus the rare flamers that appear are way more entertaining than on a usual forum, mostly cus on other forums they are usually 12 year olds that are ,quote, "gay for naruto"
congrats to you admins for 10 years.

I am almost ashamed to say I have been on the board and its forums for 10 years this coming summer. One of the things I loved about the net when it started was how people started to aggregate by their common interests

Gotta agree really because the net is relatively new to me. It's nice because I thought I was the only person on the planet that listened to P.I.L. until I met other folks here. :D

The PIL performance on American BAndstand is one of the greatest performances ever. YOu can fing it on you tube
I lurked on theis board for like 5 years before I ever posted anything. I was actually kind of afraid to post anywhere, becasue all I noticed was flaming. That and I couldnt figure out how to make it work. Duh:rolleyes:

I consider that a gift rivaling the wheel.

HPOTD was the first internet forum I actually started posting on, Lo, these many years ago. It was such a great place, and I met a lot of friends here.
I haven't been active in the forums the past couple of years, but I still swing by to see some of my mates. One-liners, plot spoilers, reviews, political flames (Anybody still here from the Grimstories war?) especially all of us waiting year after year to hear any news of what would eventually become "Land of the Dead". Man, if only we'd guessed what that old green board would do to us...!
Way to go, Neil. Not many could pull this kind of thing off for this long and generate the following that you have. Take a bow, man. Here's to another 10. :D

Well, I guess that quashes the myth that Americans drink crap beer. I always thought it was Iron City or Bud. Guess I was wrong, too many movies perhaps. :D

Iron City is a regional beer. I have drank many, many kinds of brew but I have only SEEN iron City in GAR movies. I am not sure its even available outside the Pittsburgh area.
And yes, Most American actually DO prefer crap beer. If you had a party in a suburb and put out a case of Samuel Smith and a case of Bud Lite cans, guess which goes first. Most peoples idea of an exotic brew is Heinikin

Congrats to Neil, who was pretty much the whole show when I made my first Fiction contribution; DeadFall, exactly ten years ago this month.
Wrestling with that monster of a file, almost submitting it as seperate chapters, it was fun times for sure.
Looking forward to ten more years, Down The Road in All Things Romero ( as well as all the Zombie Wannabes. )

The others were the feint, she realized this too late as a heavy iron bar lashed out, striking the base of her skull. Even so, the reaction was admirable, the assailed managing to turn toward her attacker before a second shot sent her reeling. Through the haze of pain, the rogue vampire spied her opponent, a golden creature who grinned wickedly through the loose tangle of an untamed mane.
This scornful siren, statuesque and powerful, gave the other a cocky nod before a third blow across the right temple drove her rival into unwelcome unconsciousness.
