just got a ps2

yes a ps2, not a ps3 (100 quid preorder, y' can bugger off). anway..

i traded in condemned and dead rising along with my origional xbox, since ive got a 360 now i never used it and i got the best freakin' trade in deal ever, for 52 quid i got:

1 brand new slim-line ps-two,black
1 memory card
1 copy of guitar hero 2, with guitar (and it freakin' rocks!:elol: )
plus all these free:
resi 4
drakengard (:barf: ,bad square enix)
vice city
ghosthunter (way underrated survival horror game)
devil may cry
silent hill 2

now THAT is one well spent 50 quid:cool:

but i aint had a ps2 for about 4 years so can anyone recommend any good games that are recent?

and with 20 quid left for seeing hot fuzz tomorow :lol:

God of War is one of the best games on PS2, Okami is very fun, Rogue Galaxy is very fun so is Indigo Prophecy (I think it's called Fahrenheit in the UK). If those are available over there I highly suggest you try them out.

I also really enjoy the Katamari Damacy games even though they are a bit strange.

God of War and Ico, that's about all it had to offer for me. Just stay clear of Fantavision, videogames and fireworks just don't mix. :lol:

What Silent Hill 2 did you get? Did you get the one with the bonus dvd, the one with the bonus Maria scenario or the bog standard one.

Noice! I have the Xbox director's cut but my pal was kind enough to donate me his P$2 bonus dvd before he traded his one in, which was handy cos I had a spare 2 disc game cover. So I guess you could say that now I have a unique Silent Hill 2: Ultimate Edition. :D

Rez is a great, trippy experience, if you can track a copy down.
I've heard good things about Final Fantasy XII, too. Devil May Cry 1 & 3 are both great, 2 was pretty bad though. Frequency and Amplitude were both made by the same team who did Guitar Hero, and they are both fantastic music games. Finally, Metal Gear Solid III was not only my favorite game from the PS2/Xbox generation, its also one of my favorite games of all time.
