We knew it was coming and here's (http://www.fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=3827) the confirmation. Sorry folks, R2 PAL, only.

I discussed this on another site at the end of last year and came up with a few suggestions for extra material (some of which has been confirmed in Fangoria article). Anyway, here's the whole list:

CREEPSHOW originally had about 10 minutes removed to tighten the running time somewhat. The excisions weren't substantial ('cept for one unlooped line of dialogue that absolutely MUST be restored), but are interesting to see none the less. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXVOUbONuBE
As you can see, these scenes were all fully scored since they made it all the way to the Cannes cut. Conceivably, this cut should be still around (just check the Laurel vaults) and these scenes could be reintegrated back into the film - preferably via seamless branching.
There's some bootleg home video footage going around of behind the scenes antics that was supposedly shot by a young Greg Nicotero who was visiting the set (long before being groomed as Savini's protege). I've seen it, I know it exists so let's get that sh*t on there in the best quality possible.
There's this half hour interview with Savini to promote CREEPSHOW from back in the day on Google Video. Let's find the source and stick that little f*cker on there, too. http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=136405143846039204&q=creepshow
Outtakes. Every movie has outtakes and CREEPSHOW has some interesting ones. I wanna see Adrienne Barbeau's severed head float to the surface at the end of 'The Crate' and Ted Danson's severed hand drop off and chase after Leslie Nielsen in 'Something to Tide You Over'. Why not throw in the CCTV footage of Gaylen Ross drowning from that same episode, too? Most of all, they shot an alternate version of the entire 'Father's Day' episode without the funky lighting. Any chance of digging that one up?
Let's do the retro-doco thing. Most of the cast and crew members are still with us - but not for long. Let's have Ed Harris recreate his infamous disco dance scene before his knees go bad!
The obligatory audio commentary. But let's maybe have each episode recorded separately with the relevant actors and editors and so on chiming in with the regulars.
Howz about a reproduction of the Creepshow comic?
An isolated score, perhaps? John Harrison could speak a little about it during library music and quieter moments (if there are any). But not during the 'Don't Let Go' song!

Let's hope they include as many of those as possible.

As much as I'd love to have most of what you listed included, a better transer, a commentary and a featurette are all I need. Anything else would be icing on the cake. I can't wait to get ahold of this one.

I snagged a Creepshow comic off of ebay 4 years ago. Found it by mistake.

My buddy has the original Creepshow comic. I don't know if that's worth anything, or not. It differs from the film on some points, and I think it was printed before the film came out?

Anyway, I'd love to see the original comic book pages that were used in the film. Maybe we can read what it actually says this time?

Gee, this news sounds kinda familiar. I wonder where this first might have broken?

I brought it when it came out .Of course I still have it:) The art is by a lot of original EC comics guys. The Jordy Verrill one is relaly good. Comics take a really long time to produce so they start before the film is done, leading to discrepencies between the film and comic. The Original star wars adaptation and Blade Runner have many things different and/or removed from the final cut.

I look foward to any region version OF Creepshow. To me extras are not the icing, they ARE the cake. Its the reason I got excited about DVD in the first place. The visual fidelity is not that important to me because I cant tell the difference.

Creepshow is the early Dawn/day/Knightriders style. More than his later stuff. You should be satisfied. Its Romeroiffic. Has all the cool GAR benchmarks and the colored lighting is cool. The Jordy Verril/Steven King part is the best. I dont think GAR did Creepshow 2. Did he? I never saw it.

Well that just sucks :( Maybe Anchor Bay can pick it up for release in the US.

Nah, Michael Gornick handled that one but George was a part of it. It's NOWHERE near as good as the first but there are one or two great moments on there. It's just a shame that the animation sucked, makes the movie look very cheap. Mind you, it's a helluva lot better than Freaky Fairy Tales. :D

Haha, I know exactly how you feel. Went through that myself. But on the other hand, I ALWAYS thought Creepshow 2 sucked, and I NEVER thought boobs could save a film.

But if we got to see Adrienne's boobs in the first film, it might have knocked it up from a 4 to a 5... :sneaky:

Damn, thanks for the last pic. That had to be from the 70's. Where's it from? To be honest, I was never into her, because I always saw the older clothed version.

Of you mean bare boobs, I could see that.
I saw Creep show when i was about 14 and I got all sweaty over her.
She was sexy back then.

I dont think tits can save a movie, but it cant hurt!

Are you serious?!?!? I found that woman to be repulsive in "Creepshow". That's the point of the character and all, but there's no way I could see past that and find her attractive. In her younger days, in a different role....then yeah, she was alright. But Creepshow??

After Escape from NY, I kinda had a thing for her. Yeah her character was repulsive. but I saw it first run in 82 and I was 14, dude. I just started to realize breasts were cool.

There are stronger ones. Take off your safesearch and do a Google Image search. She was a bit of a pin up in the seventies.

Yeah she bathed nude in Swamp Thing. That's the only reason why I own the damn movie.

Poxy celebrity porn sites. No worries, all fixed now.
