ROME’s Titus Pullo Lands
Lead In CBS’ Living Dead Pilot!!

The Hollywood Reporter is chock full of casting news Tuesday morning. A lot of it involves HBO stars migrating to the network pilots

* Ray Stevenson, who portrays the brutal yet good-natured Titus Pullo on “Rome,” will play a small-town detective in CBS’ zombie dramedy pilot “Babylon Fields.” It was announced late last week that Amber Tamblyn (“Joan of Arcadia”) had been cast in the same pilot.

Rome kicks ass, this guy is goooood!

It's the idea that it has some comedy elements to it that might put me off this show...

Can't say enough for the hate-on I have for the term 'dramedy'.

Glad I am not alone in my annoyance.

I remember cringing hearing Shaun of the Dead was a comedy and it's in the Top 5 of all the dead films in my book.

But then again, this aint Shaun.

Don't get any hopes up about this, it's just a pilot, most pilots never even air.

That said, it would be awesome if it gets on the air, but I really doubt it will.

You got that right. It demonstrates that they really have no freakin' clue, and are simply hedging their bets to appeal to as wide a market as possible.

Remember that awful spider flick Arachnophobia? They couldn't decide what kind of movie they were making, either, so it became a "thrillomedy." It would have been more accurate just to label it a sucky movie.

How can you not make a good horror movie about spiders? Spiders were invented for horror movies, like zombies.

at least arachnaphobia wasnt 8 legged freaks. had freaks come out like 40 years ago it woulda been a true horror film.

they need a real zombie show, not a spoof

they just need to adapt the walking dead for tv, its the perfect zombie show with little changes needed for crossing mediums.
