Saw a trailer for this the other day. So does it qualify as a zombie movie? Any good?

***Spoiler ***

Clive Barker tries to put a metaphysical spin on the zombie genre. One morning every kid under 10 years old across the world is in a coma. Society crumbles without children and family as it's foundation. After ten years a large segment of the economy focused on the care of the coma kids. Talk of a ban on having children to prevent more sleepers from being born.

Once the kids wake up things go downhill fast. During the middle of the night the sleeper kids all awake at once and begin to systematically kill their victims. Mostly blunt force trauma or the mind meld of death. They appear to exhibit a hive mind like learning ability and coordinate the efforts without speaking. Later in the film they start to learn quickly, first by wrecking the starter of every car in town and later by using firearms. The survivors are hard pressed to deal with the circumstances. Parents still see their children rather than mutant zombie creatures. There is some hesitation among law enforcement to fire upon helpless children, even while the evidence of mayhem is all around.

In the third act a group of survivors is at the edge of town, ready to cross a bridge and get away. Suddenly they decide to turn around and head back into town for more guns and ammo? Knowing the coma kids have suddenly learned how to use firearms? Not much point watching the film from here on. The ending really sucks.

had much to do with it other than putting his name on it.

I wish Barker would get done his Scarlett Gospels. Its been too long since I've read new Barker in bloody mode
