Earlier than I'd expected, would have figured it would be released in November, like its predecessors. Good news though, I'm all for earlier game releases.

Holy f**kbeans! Aw mate, I'm bang up for that!

Me thinks $0NY are gonna need some serious armour to weather this one. Couldn't come at a worse time too...

i want to see if those giant flood infected creatures that were part of halo 2 but removed from the game are in this one, supposedly the cod eis still in the pc version of halo 2,near the end in high charity you encounter 2 of them as a boos fight, there was info about em on the flood wikipedia entry, but for some reason its gone.
maybe bungie made them take it down, didnt want to ruin the surprise or something.

here it is the flood juggernaut in all its shat-in' yer' right up glory

and heres the flood engineer, removed from halo 1.

And another thing, anyone notice how the surreal-type areas that dominated the first two have mysteriously disappeared in favour of more realistic backdrops? It's all looking nice and dirty...

...and the assualt rifle from one is back, rejoice!

I might actually play this one all the way through, instead of just heading straight for multiplayer.

Seriously though, it's gonna be awesome.

I played Halo 3 multiplayer till 4:30 in the morning last night, and I haven't done that since the first Halo. Its incredible, all the best things about the first two games brought together as a whole. I've lost count of the amount of times I said "wow" out loud. Just an awesome, awesome game. Kudos to Bungie for giving their fans this beta.

I thought Crackdown was supposed to be a good, fun game?! At least that's what I've heard on the street ... or are you just being Billy Jaded again?:p j/k :D

Mmm... could be a mixture of both. I too have heard glowing reports about Crackdown but I gotta be honest, the demo looked like a dog's bitch of a game. Way too zippy and far-fetched for my liking.

Zippy and far fetched? Sounds like a load of honest fun to me...I'll get it sometime, along with Gears of War...when they come down in price and after I've blown my load all over PGR3/Dead Rising/Saints Row...oh and Fuzion Frenzy 2, which comes with the console, hehe...well it was either that or something with Mexican candy-holders not being beaten to sh*t.

Crackdown is awesome, better than any other sandbox style game I've played. And with the "Keys to the City" free download that just came out, its even better. Its basically a cheat mode, you hit the back button and you get all these options like god mode, infinite ammo, all weapons, infinite agility, etc. All the way up to spawning agency vehicles and explosive barrels. You can also run races with cars online now too. Its not the deepest game in the world, but the sheer fun factor is through the roof, especially with co-op play. Halo 3 was just icing on the cake. Icing that I'm going back to at this very moment. :D

"Keys to the City" sounds right up my alley, I love a bit of God mode me*.

*only in Single Player

It certainly looks like a game I could really enjoy, just a bit of fun, that's what I'm looking for at the moment. :)
