A Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX12K 7.2 MegaPixels

So I experimented a bit and took some pictures of my Dwarf Cajun Crayfish....

and one picture of my Red Cherry Shrimp....

All these animals are only 1 cm long because the the crayfish are children....and the shrimp is a small adult male....

I think they turned out pretty good...Im excited I can now take halfway decent pictures of my aquarium life....

Well they always stay in the aquariums both the crayfish and the shrimp....

And my mom doesnt quite get the appeal of keeping arthropods.....but she keeps fish...so is indifferent towards my aquarium habits....

I could see how someone would get freaked out if they were really that size, It's like looking at a fly up close like that. It would look like some irradiated creature from some bad 1950's sci-fi film.

Nice pics.
I've been itching to upgrade my 1999 Kodak DC290. I may join the Panasonic family with the purchase of the TZ3 later this month. Did you take a look at that one too?

Yeah the TZ3 is better in a handful of features...but I got this DMC-FX12K on sale....and I did not want to spend a lot of money....If I really enjoy taking macro type pictures maybe Ill invest in a more expensive specifically designed camera....

BTW: the gellatinous blobs in some of those pictures are snail eggs
