Bubdotd inspired me with his Pale series to go out and buy The Movies. So I've been playing around with it a bit and have started making my own films. As I make more episodes, I will post the links here. So keep checking back for new updates.

lol, yeah, I got that feeling from it too. Like an old silent film or something. Hopefully I can talk my girlfriend into doing some voice-overs with me soon :D

where did you buy those at. i would like to get them too so i can mess around with them. maybe neil could have a contest to see who makes the best short films using this.

I figured out how to get detail, it was on low detail, thanks.

It's made with The Movies. It's a computer game that you can buy at a store like Walmart/Target/Best Buy.

I got the Movies too, so I made my own film today... too.

I got the Movies too, so I made my own film today... too.

Ned, great work, but I couldn't see part of the movie because it was too dark. I know its night time, but is it possible to adjust the brightness?

Which is why in the sequel, it almost instantly turns into day. :p

I know it's very dark, but that's actually how the game showed it. I made it black and white, and turned up the brightness, but it was still too dark.

After you've created these movies, can they be saved to a format that can be burnt to a dvd or vcd? I'm considering fiddling around with this program too but I probably won't bother if I have to sit & watch everything on the pc.

After you've created these movies, can they be saved to a format that can be burnt to a dvd or vcd? I'm considering fiddling around with this program too but I probably won't bother if I have to sit & watch everything on the pc.

Yes, you can export them to .wmv format. Then you can use a program like VSO Copy2DVD to burn them to a DVD.

I got this game and am just having a horrible time with the movie creator. It's so tough for me to use. Takes too much effort; I don't have the patience.... ARGH!!!
