I don't know about this one. First off they had to come a billion and change out of pocket fot the warranty extensions that they issued about a month ago. That contributed to Microsoft's game division suffering a $1.89B shortfall. The link to that story is below.

Second, even with son'y price drop the 360 is still significantly cheaper than the ps3.
Third, with the kickass holiday lineup MS actually gives consumers compelling reasons to buy their consoles. All this adds up to not much reason for MS too drop the price imo.
