Just bought a large screen tv (see link (http://www.amazon.com/Sony-KDS-50A2000-Grand-1080p-Projection/dp/B000GZYMHG/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-1024338-1879333?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1187011816&sr=8-1)). It hasn't been delivered but its DLP which means I won't be hanging it on a wall. Here's my problem. My bed is quite high (I usually watch from bed) and although I've been using a 60" high dresser for the current tv, the dresser is basically the same exact size (37") as the base on the tv. I'm worried that when the TV gets to my house in 2 weeks, it may not fit right or be secure on the same perch. I have a lower dresser but I would need to raise the TV up off of it.

Anyone have any suggestions? I've been looking online for a nice support system for the tv or something to raise the lower dresser but haven't had any luck. I'm not going to guess I'm the first person to have the problem...

Attach to your ceiling so you can watch while laying in bed.

(Sorry. Probably won't work, but I always wanted to do this)

You could simply put a board on top of the dresser, then the TV in top of that. Varnish the board to the same color as the dresser.

Have you given any thought to buying a larger dresser?
