Game reviewers may really like 2K's upcoming shooter Bioshock, but famously anti-game violence attorney Jack Thompson does not like it. Not one bit.
Thompson has filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission over advertising for the game shown on a wrestling program on Friday night. In the letter sent to the FTC Thompson said "Take-Two… is aggressively marketing its newest Mature-rated video game to kids under 17 years of age...The video game industry running ads for games like BioShock on teen-intensive television programs while at the same time its industry-captured 'watchdog,' the ESRB, is running a self-congratulatory ad campaign to assure parents that the video game ratings system is working and that the industry can be trusted not to target their kids with these Mature-rated games. It is all a lie, as the BioShock ads prove.sing an M rated game during Friday night's Friday Night War wrestling show was "
Thompson went on to compare the game industry ads to "Joe Camel" cigarette ads.
We wouldn't want to expose wrestling fans to pretend violence, eh?

I was wondering when he would rear his ugly head. I guess he was on vacation. Or maybe a stint in the looney bin.
