Seems they really like the idea of "everybody must" legislation, as we've seen with other recent proposals - but rather than get into another wall versus wall discussion on those, I heard on TV their new crazy plan:
Everybody MUST vote. :rolleyes:
Sounds a bit silly doesn't it, the point in voting is you choose who to vote for, so surely part of the choice is voting for NO-ONE and not voting whatsoever.
No doubt they'd probably say 'oh but if you wanna do that you can go in and tick "abstain" or something' - but why, why do you need to change the system...answer = you don't.
There's a reason, or reasons, why voting is at an all-time low, and it's got nothing to do with people having the option of not getting off their arse to go and vote.
Plus, quite frankly, there are people across the entire globe who just shouldn't be voting, like the sort of people who shouldn't be breeding - same thing. :lol::eek::dead:
