I like slip-cases and fancy-ass packaging. :)

Oh, and my directors cuts of Dawn 04 and Land of the Dead came in plain 'ol DVD boxes...I feel cheated. :(

To be honest though, I do agree that for the most part slip cases don't make sense...at least, not to me anyway.

They make sense when you've got a fold-out arrangement to keep together, but why need one for a plastic DVD case that clips together on it's own? And then even worse, not even do different artwork on the slip case...it's all waste, that card could have been turned into something useful like paper to make pornographic magazines! :eek:

I was going to say that I don't mind the slip covers...but who can refute the point that you made. Most excellent sir! I have seen the light!

for a while, i was a purist and thought that having those things on my dvd case was necessary, since it was like that when i bought it....

but then i woke up one day and went through my collection and threw all those fu(king things away. what a waste of time and cardboard.

I'm keeping mine, I don't do throwing away stuff like that, but I'm not a hoarder ... I just like to keep my DVDs all pretty and clean and such ... but those slip covers are still f*cking pointless. :p

I like the slip covers for some reason. Some of them are different and work with the inner box to create more than one image (Transformers is the only one that comes to mind at the moment).

As far as the little lock things....just bend them back and forth about 3 times and they break off. Throw em away....they're not needed.

Yeah but I'm obsessive about my DVDs, I don't just go breaking off the clips despite the fact I hate them...you don't know me at all!!! *goes running off, John Hughes movie style, into the dramatically-gushing rain as some 80's synth-rock rings out* :p
