Uhm...ok.

Knightriders 2 on the way (http://www.moviehole.net/news/20071026_knightriders_2_on_the_way.html)
Date : October 26, 2007 Writer : Clint Morris

Taurus Entertainment, the shingle behind the recent "Creepshow 3" (never saw it, but hear it's horrible), have announced a sequel to George Romero's 1981 classic "Knightriders".

The original film, starring Ed Harris, told of a group of travelling jousters and performers who are cracking under the pressure of personal problems and failure to live up to their ideals. Its essentially "Camelot" but with the armored-men riding around on motorbikes.

Simply titled "Knightriders 2", the new film is a co-production between Taurus and Bandit Cinema and said to be budgeted within the $1-3 million range. At that price, I think it goes without saying that Ed Harris (let alone Tom Savini) will be back.

MOTHERF*CKERS!!! :mad::mad::mad:

LEAVE GAR FILMS ALONE YOU TALENTLESS, UNORIGINAL HACKS!!! F*CK OFF AND DIE!

Jesus! :eek::eek:

Somebody should cough some rank disease all over Taurus or something so we can all revel in watching it die slowly and painfully. These people have no souls.

It's just so beyond lame, it's the event that "dude, super-weak" or "dude, lame" was invented for...or alternatively "those involved with this project are sh*t-sucking-bile-f*ckers who deserve nothing short of bankruptcy for being so devoid of creative originality and talent ... as well as having no souls"...*sigh*

Creepshow 3 I'll let slide, part 2 was a mess.

Day of the Dead 2 I could ignore and move on.

Knightriders 2 is just wrong. There is no significant fanbase for the original Knightriders. This is simply a jab at the folks who have a special place in their heart for Knightriders. What sucks is that there is room for a good sequel with Tom Savini, just not from these dickwads.

At that price, I think it goes without saying that Ed Harris (let alone Tom Savini) will be back.

Huh? Ed Harris' salary alone would crush that budget. He was paid 3M for The Hours. Not to mention he died in the original Knightriders

I've been a cardcarrying member of the SCA for a whole lotta years and I've been awarded my Arms, have my armor, etc. Knightriders was the SCA on bikes (not sure why the bikes, but ok, they're on motorcycles) and hopped up with 'shows' for the public.

I can relate to the medieval spirit in people and I think that was what I liked best about the movie. I don't know if I need a Knightriders 2, but I'd like a good movie about medievalists. I know there's a couple coming, one from Will Ferrell (hopefully after Land of the Lost) and another from Jack Black (hopefully better than his mexican wrestling movie).

This is just so...so...random(!) a choice for a film rip-off. I mean, I'd think they'd try to do a remake than a sequel. It just seems so off.

They squatted a loaf with Creepshow 3 and this one will be a big phat turdy too. Really, someone should thump the guy for even dreaming about making a sequel.

And what's even worse is these douchebags trumpet themselves to be fans of GAR. Any fan of GAR would leave his work well alone.

I always wondered where Taurus got the rights to these films. It appears they either own the rights to some of Rubinstein's Laurel (http://www.imdb.com/company/co0099636/) Library or the UFDC (http://www.imdb.com/company/co0163936/) Library.

Either wayRubinstein owns Martin & Dawn, so other than possibly Tales from the Darkside it looks like Taurus have run dry of Romero material, and this will be their last go around at pissing on Romero (unless we get the ubiquitous remake as well). Next up will be the Stephen King films if they own them, but I sure if they did they'd be milking them for all their worth already.

I can't believe this..!!!!

I remember reading someone's Knightrider's 2 script a few years back, I won't go into detail on it incase that person is here...but one of the characters was "Ghost of Billy"....

Hoping that it is another script to be honest.

Anyway as for the original knightriders...well to be honest, and I know this is going to sound dumb to some people....but that movie changed my life. It was the last of the Romero movies that I saw before There's Always Vanilla...I love it so, so much...Tom Savini's character was amazing, he played it so well...Ed Harris was spot on and I aspired to their political idealogy so much, I thought the whole movie was so noble, so eloquently done without any empathsis on the battles...man that movie had heart, it said something so deep about our "baying for blood" society....how utopia, no matter how trivial or idealistic, is not possible under the skies we live under.

Ahh man, I just adore it...funny moments, a deep and excellent script showing Ed Harris losing his grip on his dream due to outside pressures...that song from Donald Rubinstein....ahh its beautiful...the stunts were superb, the red indian "black bird" guy...Merlin's little poetic moments...the whole thing is just a beautiful movie...

Cheesy I know, but I love seeing that film....it comes a very close second after Dawn for me...easily. I've even swayed over to liking KR more...

anyway I want to add to the sequel name game...

Three Evil Eyes
The Dark half 2: Even Darker
Monkey Shines 2: Son of Ella
There's Always Vanilla 2: Hagen Daz Massacre
Season of the Witch: The Wizard Chronicles
day of the Dead 2: Contagium (oh ****...that's already been done)
Bruiser 2: Bruised and Battered
