It is not the begining.
you have to look at it from the point of view of a parent.
Romero is the daddy but we are the kids and some of us have kids.
I think Romero wrote these movies as what would I do.
post COLD WAR.
I have grown up kids and I still think what would I do about my babies and they think what about mum.
I am so glad it is just the movies

That's the beauty of any post apocalypse films or books, it is why I am drawn to them...what would I do in this situation or that situation.

It's no surprise that the fiction section of HPotD never dries up is it? All those folks wanting to add "their own stories" to the world of the dead.
