Wow. They really cleaned up the look of the game. I'm loving the art style and character designs. Rockstar will deliver on this one, I have no doubt.

Looking great, chuckled at the last few lines, hopefully it'll be funnier than the others as well as better in pretty much every other aspect! :D

you think they'll actually release it for PS2 now that everyone isnt exactly snapping up the 360 and the PS3?

CoinReturn

Nope, just 360 and PS3, with a PC port somewhere down the line.

keep in mind,that 2 years ago,they said "everyone will have a PS3 and a 360 by xmas time 2007."

they lost that bet cuz the damn things are catering to something that wont be around much longer. its the equivalent of sega genesis and the NES coming out and including a feature to play beta max tapes

it was october last time, but who knows. if it still has glitches after all that time it was held back.......it could be a bad thing for rock star...........seeing as the last game they released was about ping pong:lol::lol::lol:

The trailer looks cool, but at the same time I think it is just going to be the same game with prettier graphics. I will rent it, but it doesn't look like anything new so I doubt it will be worth buying.

i don't know, man...i can still sit and play san andreas for a few hours each time i turn it on...there's just so much to explore.

or you getting to unlock other portions of the map depends on you beating ONE HARD LONG DRAWN OUT mission as was the case in san andreas

The games are fun to play, but the only new things put into them are small things like motorcycles or helicopters. Like I said before, it's the same game with prettier graphics. I don't mean that as a bad thing, I just wish they would do something new.

While I was initially a bit let down when I saw the first trailer (I was so desperate for a 1970's set GTA...stilll am), but I was crabby that morning. Anyway, I'm so popping a boner for this game, blates.

theres still room for a san andreas 50's/60's game. that'd kick ass!!

I wonder if that could have pissed me off more.

All it did was send my monitor to flashing, and froze up my computer. I won't be going to that site ever again.

You have GTA London which set in 1969 I think.

SRP - maybe it was the amount of data on the site, that was also the HD version that was linked to, which when I played my download, was out-of-sync.

Will get the SD version in a minute.

Indeed, there's already London 1969, so the 60s are kinda covered...and perhaps a bit toooooo back in time, the 1950s certainly would be, which is why I wanted the 70's, to plug the gap, but also think about it:

Disco, the fashion, the music, the porno industry, the politics and the films...I think it's a rich decade that's recent enough to be good for lampooning - think Vice City, but in the 1970s.

Well you never know soon enough we could see the Krays being added into GTA, a bit to close too reality maybe.

I cant wait for this game but Im guessing its not a ps3 exclusive, Sony is screwing itself over letting the cash cows escape. Whats left? FF? MGS? Bah.

This game is hot shizzle, I heard it had 16 player online? coulda just been a rumour but would be badass.

MinionZombie

Of course it's not PS3 exclusive!

That was announced ages ago, in fact there's rumours abound that the hold up was partly down to the PS3 itself. But I duno about that, what I do know is that it's coming to Xbox360 when it comes out straight away, and I've got mine pre-ordered months ago.

But does anyone know if it will be released at the same time as the PS3 version? If I remember correctly, Vice City and San Andreas were both released for the original xbox about 6 months after the PS2...

That's when GTA had initial exclusivity over the Xbox to be just on the PS2. Now it's not the case, it's a universal release date for the consoles...so it'll just be the PC now hanging around for GTA4 about 9 bloody months late.

GTA4-360 was announced to be dropping at the same time months ago.

that would kick ass. i was wishing for one set around the roaring 20's and the gangsters. but the cars would suck. Model T's on a low speed chase :lol:

Well, Mafia was a gangster game set in the 30's and wasn't too bad. Some of those old motors went like s**t off a stick!

But yeah, a 70's NYC GTA game would be awesome. Imagine the soundtrack; disco, synth pop, stoner rock and punk. Oh, and when you steal a yellow taxi cab, it plays the 'Taxi' theme by default and Danny DeVito voices the operator.

Rockstar did The Warriors which was set in 1979 (at least thats when the film came out). While it's not GTA, they still did something set in the 70s.

Man, what a great f00kin game. I really wish Microsoft would put that on the 360's backward compatible list.

Mafia II is set in the 50's, it should be an interesting era for a mob game.

I hope this time around Rockstar listened to their fans and finally incorporated a zombie cheat into a GTA game. I used to combine a few different cheats on San Andreas to make it somewhat like a zombie game but it was never that satisfying.

If they make an actual cheat to turn every ped into zombies and just have cars abandoned all over the map... endless hours of fun.

And shufflers, none of those running/leaping/flying wankers.

I'm currently playing more of Saints Row at the moment, very fun game, even if some of the activities are pissing me off at times...trying to aim on the drug trafficking one is retarded.

I'm gonna do the Chop Shop activities now though...gotta get the most of out SR before GTA4 comes along - but then there'll be SR2 - so it's going to be a wonderful time of hitting ho's with your car.

Oh yeah, anyway to shag a ho in Saints Row? There's all those strippers with their jiggly boobs, but no back alley fumblings with a street walker? Pfft, I feel ripped off by that! :D:p

someone made a hack for the PC version of vice city. it was very complete down to a fake radio broadcast.
