Starting to see trailers on TV for "Cloverfield", and the title they're ACTUALLY using IS "Cloverfield".....uh....ok....I was under the impression that was just a "code name" they were shooting under. Weird. Not sure how well a giant monster flick will sell with a name like that...

Actually, they announced this was the official title about a month ago.

Apparently, "Cloverfield" is the operation title used by the US military to describe the attack made on New York by this gigantic... "thing." ... in which the U.S. military was forced to confront and eventually kill.

I can't wait. There's something about big dumb movie monsters that I love.
