i would give this one just about hands down to full metal jacket. hell, there are more memorable lines in the first 10 minutes of this flick than most films have in 90 to 120 mins.

my favorite line: "anyone who runs is a VC. anyone who stands still is a well disciplined VC."

I would go with the Dirty Harry series. Just about every one of them had its own personal "catchphrase", as well as the other quotable lines.

I agree with the previous picks. My addition to the list would be two more recent movies; The 40 Year Old Virgin and Superbad. Both of them are chalked full of great lines that are fun to quote.

Yup. Of course I quote alot of Ghostbusters, but I also love to use Caddyshack and Blues Brothers.

LOVE that movie! One of most quotable in history. It has such a filthy script it defies belief, but heres a tame quote from it that I always chuckle at.

"Do you solemnly swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?"
"Sure mama, I wouldn't s**t ya." :D

The Library of Congress has inducted a crop of films into the national registry and Back to the Future was one of them. The Registry is responsible for keeping the film in pristine condition forever.

Just curious if anyone knows... Was Ghostbusters ever inducted? BASSMAN, you should know this.

No, it wasn't.....but for some reason Groundhog Day was....?

That seems backwards to me.

Depends on who I'm with, I guess.

But I dare say that overall, it's The Blues Brothers.

But The Matrix gets quoted rather frequently too.

Might be a bit lame, but the Terminator line "I'll be back" is a fracking classic.

Some of the one liners from "Commando" are also fun. :D

yeah, capn, a clockwork orange is where it's at. also good for funny quotes:

the big lebowski
pulp fiction

and if i may say so, south park is the best television show for quoting.
