New Line Cinema has jumped shipped to Blu-Ray following suit like parent company Warner Brothers so all production on their only HD-DVD release has ceased effective immediately.

I wonder how they can do it effective immediatly when they are still under contract to produce HD DVD's until the spring (I think it's April but I may be off).

They scrapped there HD-DVD release for Rush Hour 3 and Hairspray. So Pan's is all the HD-DVD crowd gets. Which sucks.

Does this mean that HD-DVD is going the way of Betamax then?

That's what I've heard. Although it hasn't officially lost, it's only hanging on by the tips of it's nails...
