Last I heard, he got accused of a crime he didn't commit, did some time in jail for it, got released, and since then hasn't really returned to HPotD....

Are you sure, dude? In his post about the situation he said that all charges were dropped because the DNA didn't match up.

Yeah, I was shocked the first time but when I recieved the email with the link to the prison database, it was kinda sad. The guy looks gaunt. Seemed to innocent minded to be a criminal in my book.

I was wondering that too but the words themselves hint at some kind of illegal occupancy, plus the burglary charge. It's all pretty sad really.

Yes, he must get some limited access 'cos he's posted on MySpace since his incarceration. But everyone there seems to be in the dark about it all like we are. It would be interesting to find out what really happened as I think there's more to it than meets the eye.

I got a letter from him today
I have been writing to him in jail

He has not commited any new crimes
he got violated on probation for an offense that happened when he was 16

quick story:
he was drinking with some friend
they ran out of booze and his friend
asked cody to borrow his cel phone
the kid used it as a light to break into a neighbors garage
to steal booze but the neighbor was home and the kid
dropped codys phone and ran
the cops got his phone and arrested him
he had no way of proving it wasnt him
he got 2 years probation

he got violated for probation because he didnt show
up for a meeting with his P.O. and the judge threw 2 years at him
florida has zero tolerance
however he qualifies for boot camp
and may get out this year instead of late 09

He misses everyone here and is so glad I write to him
cuz he thinks of all of you as family
hes funny cuz hes complaining how hes
gonna miss diary when it comes out

he wanted me to post his situation but someone beat me to it
i have his address to write to him and he is sending me an email addy
so people who dont write letters can send him an email
he really misses everyone and a letter or an email
would mean so much to him, as this ite and everyone on it
means a lot to him.

I checked his story out with some people I know in Florida
corrections and what he is saying is true
He did not commit any new crimes or break any laws
he violated parole from an offense at 16

Thanks. I just remembered him saying he had some sort of degenerative retinal condition that was ruining his vision... I was worrying that the reason he doesn't post anymore is because he's gone blind! Hopefully he just got a life ;)

DWELL: Dwelling, as in a home. OCC.DWELL would be occupied dwelling.

OCCUP.CONVEY: Occupied conveyance, as in a vehicle with someone inside of it. UNOCCUP.CONVEY or UC.CONVEY would be unoccupied conveyance. Me thinks they shifted things a bit, since the story is he broke into the house and the guy was home; this looks like an intentional reduction of charges, as the occupied dwelling charge carries around a 20-year sentence (FL doesn't mess around with that).
