Also looking for an old movie title...

When I was a kid I saw this movie about an alien coming to Earth and doing the usual "let's kill everyone" thing....only part I can remember is:

The alien was a big dude who'd throw these spinning organic discs at people, when they were hit with them claws would come out and stick to them, perhaps starting to eat into them, big red claws from what I remember....

Most of it was set in a farmland area of America I think....

any ideas?

I can remember that flick...the alien looked kinda like a mix of the preditor and alien...in black like armor...I just can't think of the name. I can picture the final scene where they are hiding behind a car and someone...the sheriff comes out and attacks the alien...oh damn whats that name!

OMG..I remember this movie...can't remember the title though...give me a bit I will do some thinking on it... I believe it was called Night something or other....pretty sure Night was in the title..I remember the disk made like a screaming noise when they were flying...the title had something to do about that
