View Full Version : I need some help with my new Mini DV Cam.

Does anybody know of a program that I can use to convert it into a webcam? I have seen some around, but I prefer them to be of the free variety.

Or if you know a way to use it without a program.

I am running windows 2000 (i know I should upgrade to XP) and I have it connected through a firewire port.

Not sure at all; maybe better to go spend $30.00 a Wal MArt and just get a webcam ?

I know that XP and Vista will automatically detect any kind of camera as a webcam, but I am using Windows 2000 and really don't want to spend the extra cash if I can find another way to convert my camera into a webcam.

Nah, I just want to be able to use it as a webcam if I need to.

On a side note, I bet I could convince my girlfriend to do that... LOL :elol:
