got my Halo 3 katana sword yesterday...

WOOOO I'm so happy...got 1000/1000 in achievements and as a result the katana armour is unlocked...brilliant! First game I've bothered to get 1000 achievement points from, I'm quite proud!!

I've got 805....I've got to get a few more skulls, get a double kill with a laser, and do the campaign scoring ones. I'll get around to it, just 1 more round of multiplayer...

man, i tried that with coin return ages back on legendaqry and my connection sucked balls. right now im on the 2nd to last level on legendary...yeah the one in the flood infested high charity....:(

Cortana is EASY on legendary....just remember - headshots then melee....(ie: headshots will kill the flood outright, then melee their bodies so they don't get up again when spores reinfest them)...seriously I got through that level with only3 deaths the other day, on legendary and with 4 skulls turned on....I was with a mate though....

FINALLY!, that damn level ive been stuck on for 3 months i finished today, and then the final level in about 15 minutes:lol:
though i only unlocked the E.C.G helmet, i thought you get the samurai shoulders as well?, and what about the samurai helmet? time to wiki methinks.
though in retrospect i DID do the ark and savo highway in legendary in co-op, maybe you gotta do it all single player.

wich would suck as tsavo highway has some of the hardest parts in the legendary campaign.

nah you can do it all co-op and still get the achievement...!! I can't remember how to get the samurai shoulders, think you need 1000/1000....

Ahh its easy man - go into lone wolves strictly with the intention of getting achievements and not winning and you'll get 'em no worries!!

For 10 kills without dying and killing frenzy, just wait for a ball or hill game and spend your time killing people going for the objective
for laser double and mongoose mowdown, just ask for help on a map with those weapons/vehicles and you're bound to get the achievement
for reboarding an enemy vehicle, do it in Rumble Pit with a mate in social playlist
for five sticks in a ranked match, just spend your whole time getting stickies then running up to people as they are shooting you and whacking a plasma on their head before they kill you
for sword tripple kill, wait for a sword match in lone wolves and you'll get that easily...remember, radar!!


Those are the hardest ones, the rest can be gotten strictly through luck or in single player!! You'll get there, don't worry :)

The only ones I cheated (read: asked for help) for was laser double kill - which I'd already got in Social but no achievement there, and mongoose mowdown - which I could've easily got and had done before but again, not in a ranked free for all....

i've not got the double laser kill yet, but i did take out 3 dudes at once (one guy on a ghost, one guy trying to jack the ghost and a dude who just was unluckily in my laser's way) on a social slayer game.

steppin razor was easy. i got overkill at the same time, (swords on epitaph), kill frezy wasn't too bad (using the sword and hanging out in the sword hallway on construct). mongoose mowdown wasn't hard either, i did that one on high ground.

i quit playing lone wolves cuz i got tired of people shooting me in the back. it's so infuriating to beat someone down after duking it out with grenades and lots of shooting, only to turn around and die from one lucky vulture's br round from across the map. and what's even worse is when you're trying to play king of the hill or oddball and people are just hanging out (like you mentioned) trying to get achievements by killing everyone else while they circle the area like vultures.

i got to a skill 29 on lone wolves and it was like i wasn't supposed to get to level 30. i got fu(ked so many times i thought about changing my gamertag to "HaloPornStar". my highest skill level is still lone wolves, but it's only like 24.

Another problem for me is that before Halo 3, i'd never played any halo games, so i've gotta terrible win/loss ratio, hence a low rank (grade 2 captain-lame). Never had to ask for help on any achievements, though.:D

i've been playing waaaay more call of duty 4 lately.

yeah COD4 is arguably better, but I prefer the frantic multiplayer of Halo 3....I agree most of the achievements are easy to get, its just that some are taxing trying to Re-get them after getting them in social matches! nice on on the laser tripple though, that's amazing!

I got to level 37 in Lone wolves this week, am a 35 in Team Slayer and a 23 or so in Team doubles, everything else is ranked below ten :( I am a commander grade 2 at the moment, almost there to General!!!
