It's not silly if it was shot with a Hi-Def video camera. The Apple site lists the highest quality trailer at 1920x1080 (1080p).

Not silly at all. The high-def versions bring us closer to seeing what is intended.

its because i spent the night before I wrote that watching a 'shot-by-video-cam-in-back-of-a-movie-theater' version of Cloverfield. I'm actually quite looking forward to Diary

The irony of that situation is actually pretty funny.

Someone should have shaky-cammed the guy camming Cloverfield, perhaps using their cellphone.
