Think about it. If Hitchcock was alive today, what sort of film would he make?

Discuss.

I think he could make Psycho today and it'll still turn out to be a classic.

he'd probably remake the Man Who Knew Too Much again. And then he'd kill Bill Murray for making the Man Who Knew Too Little.

But him making Lifeboat, Dial M for Murder and Vertigo would be just keen.

Don't count on it.

Didn't you see Gus Van Zandt's shot for shot remake of Psycho?

Should it (if made today) still be filmed in one take? I think the original only had a few "edits". I personally think Rope is one of his best works. (even tho I abhor Jimmy Stewart)

I could see Hitchcock making a psychological thriller like Identity (2003).

I think alot of Hitchcock's films can be done today by Hitchcock himself and still be considered well done. Though if anything was to stop him it would be his dictatorial style on the set which would mean alot of top-flight actors might stay away from signing for a role.

The dynamics between directors and stars of the film have changed since Hitchcock's days. I don't think Hitchcock could've stood the whining and diva attitudes of today's stars. If there was a modern film title that I wouldn't mind Hitchcock tackling it would be something like Body Double and The Game.
