Like everything the world has to offer, not everyone is going to like things equally and see eye to eye. It does not surprise me that Diary has detractors and champions among our ranks.

How boring a world would it be if we all agreed on things and always collectively liked the same things!

I welcome thoughts from folks like Harold, and Spizz and others who freely express their issues with this film and their general dissatisfaction with Diary, even when their views directly conflict with mine. As long as we can have civil discussions about our views, whether it's that we hate or we love GAR's movie, or whether we are republicans or democrats, pro-life or pro-choice, think football should be called soccer, etc., it indicates that we are not doomed and that there is still hope for society.

I should add, of course, that there are always those folks who will be negative about a topic or a film just because they find it funny to be negative, or because they have some deep rooted need to spew. Perhaps they find it cool to be in the minority view, or perhaps they have some need to be noticed even if it is in a negative light. Before too long their sad desire for attention though invented conflict becomes painfully obvious to everyone around them and, in the end, will have the direct opposite reaction that the complainer was seeking. People eventually ignore the thoughts and histeronics of someone who is being negative in order to gain personal attention solely by being negative. It gets really old really fast and, quite honestly, is a major bore.

Jimbo, what got you all fired up?

Jimbo, what got you all fired up?

Jim, I am rather embarrassed to say, but truthfully, I was not in the greatest mood yesterday, and as a result I let something that on any other day would have rolled off of me instead get under my skin. Admittedly, this was nobodys fault but mine, so I apologize to the board for my rant.

I saw it earlier today and loved it. I was only disappointed in the story 'dumping' some interesting characters rather quickly. The Amish farmer and the militant guy that gives them supplies----

I don't know--did I forget any that struck you guys as interesting characters???

EDIT: It was pointed out that my post contained spoilers along with my comment of Diary suddenly reminding me of Gilligans Island. It was a pretty inane post , so I deleted it rather than doing the spolier tag bit. Apologies to anyone who might have read it and haven't yet seen the movie!

Many people still haven't seen it. You should probably use spoiler tags with that...

My bad, Bassman! Since my post was of no real consequence, I deleted the references rather than spoler tagging.

Sorry brother!

It's cool, man. I've actually seen the film, but I know that a lot of people around here haven't. Just giving you a heads up.:)

Great film! One of my top 10 zombie films, if not top 5!!! George tears down the 5th wall of filmmaking by having the Texan girl talking into the camera while being chased by the mummy zombie. Great scene!

I thought the Amish guy dies too early also. Could have been a great character but at least he dies cool.

I have a feeling this could be a series like Friday 13th, Halloween etc...with people sending in their survival stories onto the internet like Youtube.

I need to see it again!!!!
