i found this story on news of the weird:

Tina Williams was arrested in St. Augustine, Fla., on Super Bowl Sunday, charged with DUI and failure to have her 1-year-old daughter seat-belted or in a car seat. However, a case of Busch beer was safely buckled up in the front seat. [First Coast News, 2-4-08]
:stunned:

so we have a case of triple guilt here:

she was driving drunk

she was driving drunk with an unsecured infant in her car

she was drinking busch beer (i'd rather drink fermented moose piss frankly)

i wonder if she was so druunk she mistook the beer for her daughter and buckled it up instead.

this story so has hillbilly written all over it.

Man. I guess she thought the beer was her kid. Dumb f*cking parents....

I've actually belted in a bottle of Jack Daniels once. I wasn't drunk or driving a child, but if I hit the brakes hard and that thing wasn't secure it would have been bad.:p

As nonsensical as it seems this must be the answer. The back seat should be spacious enough to hold a case of beers whether its on the floor held in place by the back end of the front seat or resting on the back seat itself. To strap a case of beers in the front seat doesn't make much sense. Plus the fact that it is incredibly stupid and bound to raise the eyebrow of any passing officers.

Besides, don't beer crates normally go in the trunk? :rockbrow:

Dude, kids are free as long as you're doing it right. Beer costs money, you know what I'm saying?

 yes but busch beer though? i guess we know why she had a case of it - it probably takes a case of that to keep a decent buzz going.

What you have here is most likely an alcoholic who values alcohol over human life. A true piece of human garbage.

I'm guilty of buckling up cases of PBR as well as kegs, on multiple occasions; however, I will never forget to buckle up a kid!

Oh man, blast from the past time...

Come on along, head for the mountains of Busch Beer, head for the mountains, it's cold and it's smooth, and it's waiting for you, so head for the mountains.

Damn, that jingle is STILL hooked in my head since the 80s.
