None of them anywhere near me.

Gonna briefly be in San Francisco this weekend, and again on the 10th. With any luck, I'll catch it then.

Fingers crossed...

I thought it was originally on 48 screens?

42, I think. So is it the same 42, plus another 6? Or have they shuffled around abit?

42 in its first week, 48 in week two. No idea if they're adding more this Friday, but it is still doing well... as well as could be hoped for, anyway.

Just found out that at least one of the theaters in SF will be running it for a third week, which means I may be able to catch the midnight show this Saturday.

I think that all of the additional screens are in Los Angeles. On opening weekend here in Southern California we had only one screen, an independent revival type house, but the following weekend it was playing at mainstream venues like AMC and Mann, at at least 6 additional locations.

I have faith that it might expand in other cities too!

I was seeing another movie in the theater showing this in Philly last night. Stuck my head into Diary, only 2 people sitting in there.

In the parking garage, I spied a car with the PA licence plate "NOTLD". Anyone from here?

Tomorrow night, roughly 2500 miles away from where I currently lie in my bed, 9:25 PM -- I am there.

No time now. Here's a short, utterly contradictory review:

It was awful. I loved it.

That definitely is contradictory. Now i'm anxious to read your real review....

It's been two long travel days, and my mind is as beat as my feet. Not going to attempt a thoughtful review right now, but I have TONS to say about this oddly entertaining mess. I'll start with my biggest problem:

Much of the film hangs on one conceit: that these kids (and the You Tubers) are doing the world some kind of service, showing everyone what's ACTUALLY happening. This premise works beautifully in tales focusing on isolated events -- government cover-ups and such. But when the event is everywhere? Utter nonsense. You don't need YouTube to tell you what's happening when what's happening is happening outside your damned window.

I thought that was the point?...:shifty:

It may indeed be the point. If so, good. There is, however, the scene in which we learn that the news is censoring the housing project footage. This fuels the protagonist in his mission to capture the "truth" -- despite the fact that it should be clear to him (and all of them) that the truth is pretty much out in the open.

Again, if that's the point -- awesome. It's good to see George working with layers again, after the utterly layer-free LAND.
