    Don't spoil my nightmare man.

I wasn't alive during the last Nuclear bomb attack. I would like to be alive when the next one happens at least long enough to see everything melt... including my skull.

not to mention the fact that Iran has no nuke weapons at the moment and America has about 30,000, so nuke eachother is a bit of off the mark

If you ask me, both will amuse themselves to death..........

..........um, wait a second folks...........I'm just tuning in to one of my favorite radio stations......

".......Because of the obvious threat to untold numbers of citizens due to the crisis that is even now developing, this radio station will remain on the air day and night. This station and hundreds of other radio and TV stations throughout this part of the country are pooling their resources through an emergency network hook-up to keep you informed of all developments. At this hour, we repeat, these are the facts as we know them. There is an epidemic of mass murder being committed by a virtual army of unidentified assassins. The murders are taking place in villages and cities, in rural homes and suburbs with no apparent pattern nor reason for the slayings. It seems to be a sudden general explosion of mass homicide. We have some descriptions of the assassins. Eyewitnesses say they are ordinary-looking people. Some say they appear to be in a kind of trance. Others describe them as being misshapen monsters. At this point, there's no really authentic way for us to say who or what to look for and guard yourself against. Reaction of law enforcement officials is one of complete bewilderment at this hour. Police and sheriff's deputies and emergency ambulances are literally deluded with calls for help. The scene can be best described as mayhem. The mayors of Pittsburg, Philadelphia, and Miami, along with the governments of several eastern and midwestern states indicated that the National Guard may be mobilized at any moment, but that has not happened as yet. The main advice news reporters have been able to get from official sources is to tell private citizens to stay inside their homes behind locked doors. Do not venture outside for any reason until the nature of this crisis has been determined, and until we can advise what course of action to take. Keep listening to radio and TV for special instructions as this crisis develops further. Thousands of office and factory workers are being urged to stay at their places of employment, not to make any attempt to get to their homes. However, in spite of this urging and warning, streets and highways are packed with frantic people trying to reach their families or, apparently, to flee just anywhere. We repeat, the safest course of action at this time is simply to stay where you are. Ladies and gentlemen, we've just received word that the President has called a meeting of his Cabinet to deal with the sudden epidemic of murder that has seized the eastern third of this nation. The meeting is scheduled to convene within the hour. Members of the Presidential Cabinet will be joined by officials of the FBI and military advisors. White House spokesmen are saying there will be an official announcement immediately following that meeting. This is the latest dispatch just received in our news room. The latest word also - this is from nation press services in Washington, D.C. - tells us that the emergency Presidential conference which we just mentioned will include high-ranking scientists from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. So far, the best advice they are able to give the public is this quote from Chief T. K. Dunbar from Camden, North Carolina, who is quoted as saying, "Tell the people for God's sake to get off the streets! Tell them to go home and lock their windows and doors up tight! We don't know what kind of murder-happy characters we have here!" Chief Dunbar's words were worn out in grisly fashion just hours ago near the small, normally peaceful town of Willard, Pennsylvania, where the driver of a tanker truck was mobbed by a cluster of apparently would-be assassins oblivious to all concerns for their own safety and blindly intent on attacking the driver. The tanker trunk went out of control and plowed into the gas pumps at a well-known eatery and truck stop known as Beakman's. The truck and gas pumps caught on fire and exploded, apparently maiming and killing gas station and restaurant employees, together with a dozen or more patrons, motorists, and pedestrians. Several bodies were found mangled and mutilated. Many others appear to have been carried off by the attackers. Eyewitness accounts described the assassins as ordinary-looking people, misshapen monsters, people who look like they're in a trance, and creatures that look like people but behave like animals. Some tell of seeing victims that looked as if they had been torn apart. This whole ghastly story began developing two days ago, and from that point on, these terrible events kept on snowballing in a reign of terror that has not abated. Military personel and law enforcement agencies have been working hard in an attempt to gain some kind of control of this situation, but most of their efforts have been marginally futile up to this particular time......????????????

Yeh but I'd rather trust America with nukes than Iran. America knows that it's just for show, hell even Russia knows it. That's why the Cold War went on so long, stalemate - if you both don't fire you both stay alive. If you both fire you both lose, sh*t, even if one fired we all lose as a planet. Tragedy is tragedy.

While I can't say I fully disagree with your opinion, I must say that it's kind of ironic you mention that the US knows that nukes are just for show - They are the only ones who's ever used them!

How it will end? Just like this...

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran will strike a deal with the new pro-Iranian shia government in Iraq, and they will step up oil production, only it won't be going to the United States. It will be going to China and Russia. Chavez in Venezuela will follow suit, and you'll see a fuel shortage worse than the embargo that practically brought the United States to its knees during the Carter administration.

Meanwhile, in the next twenty years, we'll have another twelve million undocumented workers in this country, mostly from Latin America, and they will work tirelessly to repatriate the American southwest for Mexico. La Raza wins and cushy white rich pricks in America will be forced out of power and the once-great USofA will disappear from the global arena forever. Good riddance.

I can't wait either. In a generation's time, english will be the forgotten language of America, and spanish will be commonplace. Better brush up on your espanol, p2501, you fat prick!

? I am sure you are talking about using it ON someone...but most to all nuclear capable countries have used them for tests and the like...which is still dangerous and toxic and all that...

Yeh but that was once (or was it twice?) at the end of WW2 to finish off the East and put an end to a 6 year war, when nuclear energy and weapons were in their infancy and the human race had relatively little understanding of the full ramifications of their implementation.

    Obviously.

And yes, I know that nuclear war was still in it's infamy back then, but I still don't trust the US with nukes anymore than I trust Iran. They are just as likely to use them.

I wish Canada had nukes to be honest..the great thing about them is that just the fact that you have them is a buffer against possible nuclear attack. If the states got nuked by Iran, i'm pretty sure Iran would be officially known as the largest pane of galss on the planet.

We really shouldn't worry about any "endoftheworld" scenarios. We should try to stop them, obviously, but either way, we all die eventually. Just be thankful you tasetd life!

The thing I like about Canada is they're pretty chilled out, and their scenery rocks. Not that I've met many Canadians, but the ones I have met have all been really cool people. Hell, I've even got family living out there (long lost family though, who went over there at the beginning of the 20th century).

Out of the Americans I've met it's been a bit 50/50. Some have been cool as hell, others have been cocky twats who think Britain is "quaint" and that America runs the entire universe, lol.

Just an update: scientists have created a human / rabbit hybrid for disease research. Question is: what happens if one of these critters gets sick? Diseases able to break the species barrier?

Rabbit research: Experiments could day one cure Alzheimer's
Scientists are planning to create a "frankenrabbit" by fusing together human cells with a rabbit egg.

It is hoped the "chimeric" embryos, which would be 99.9 per cent human and 0.1 per cent rabbit, could lead to breakthroughs in stem cell research which could one day cure diseases such as Alzheimer's or spinal cord injury.

The embryos will allow scientists to perfect stem cell creation techniques without using human eggs.

"If we learn how to do this with animal eggs, we should be able to have more success with human eggs, and I'd much rather know that if we were going to ask women to donate eggs that we were very likely to get stem cells as a result," said Chris Shaw, at the Institute of Psychiatry.

"We know this is a huge challenge after Dr Hwang in South Korea failed to get stem cells despite having 2,000 human eggs."

Teams in London, Edinburgh and Newcastle are to submit application to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority this month, requesting licences to create embryos that will be 99.9 per cent human and 0.1 per cent rabbit or cow.

The HFEA is encouraging the applications after legal advice. The embryos will be allowed to grow for only 14 days, at which point they will be cells smaller than a pinhead.
