Think it was a bit later than 79, early 80's as I remember (the one with the "planet people" and the "pay police" etc).

Note to self: don't post stuff whilst researching it.

    It was indeed 1979...

I really shouldn't have been watching heavy stuff like that when I was 7!

    Heads up for UK denizens!!!

Found the Survivors DVD's for £17.99 per series!

Compare with Amazon, Play etc at £39.99 per series.

I've ordered all three series, first two should be here in a few days, the third series is on back order, so it won't be here for at least a week, but this is the cheapest you will get them if you are interested in owning the complete collection on DVD. I will update the thread when I get 'em, and confirm that I haven't been ripped off by some shady dudes (although the fluffy bunnies on their website put me at ease).

This is good to know, I've never even heard of them before, but when I did a search for the cheapest price for the survivors DVD's, they came out tops by a mile!

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Hows the viewing going Legion?
I kind of lost interest halfway through series 2 cause i've got so much other stuff to watch and it wasn't really holding my attention.
