    New JVC GY-HM100 prosumer cam...

    http://www.thedvshow.com/first-look-...-jvc-gy-hm100/

Can do HD MPEG 2 to SDHC cards... Street price not known yet... at least I have found no mention of it., but from what I read sounds like a pretty bad ass little camera.

I would never have a use for a camera like that, but I do have to say it is damn smexy!

Thanks Wahsleety... Just as I suspected, overpriced. Sorry but $3495 for a 1/4" CDD camera is way too much, even if it has all the bells and whistles this one has.

For that price I can get the Panasonic HMC-150 which contains 1/3" CCD chips and does HD on the same interface (SDHC cards)

Oh well, thought I found something good and it turned out to be a bust.

    yeah

Looks pretty sweet still though, Didnt look much into it because I am happy with my hvx, but, I believe it shoots in several different fps. Which was the deciding factor for me to go with the hvx. I might look into this as a second cam for weddings/concerts in the future, thanks for the heads up.

the single reason I wanted to upgrade from the DVX to the HVX was the multiple FPS ability. However, the DVX is just fine for now and maybe I will upgrade in a year or two.
