Halo 3 ODST - Firefight mode

I wasn't too interested in this expansion until I saw this video. Looks like tons of fun, sort of like Halo's take on Horde mode from Gears 2. Anyone else plan on picking this up next month?

I'm really confused....this is an expansion? Downloadable? I thought this was a separate game entirely so I was expecting a new take on it. All I can see is the same game as Halo 3 but slightly expanded with less abilities than MC had....bit of a mixed bag this one. I was really hoping for something "out there" but it's really more of the same albeit in a different skin.

It's a full $60 game. Comes with two disks; the first is the ODST campaign which places you in the shoes of "The Rookie" as you drop in to New Mombasa. From there it's an open world experience and as you explore the city, you'll run into "flashback" scenes where you take control of each different member of your squad to find out what happened to them. Also included on the first disk is Firefight mode, which you've seen.

The second disk is Halo 3's multiplayer, untouched and with every DLC map ever made, plus 3 brand new maps. Overall I think it's a pretty good value, especially if you never downloaded any of Halo 3's multiplayer maps.

Considering that bungie have never had a game worthy of 10 stars I think I'll miss this.

I'm pretty excited for this actually, Thought I wouldn't be, but the gameplay looks tight.

This comes out tomorrow night, and it's getting pretty good reviews so far:
