E3 2010: The Big Games List

Just an FYI to my fellow gamers. There are so many I forgot bout a couple of them.

It's a good budgeting tool as well, cause there's no way I can afford all the kickass games that are on this list.

theres like 6 or 7 things i care about on there, talk about a dry period. Its like all the stuff thats been hyped for years mass effect 2, bayonetta, heavy rain, alan wake, splinter cell, ect. all game out and now were sort of reseting the hype to start another sub generation of games y'know? This is all i really care about for the forseeable future.

    gears of war 3
    fable 3
    halo reach
    fear 3
    mass effect 3
    40k MMO
    dead space 2
    metal gear solid peace walker
    castlevania
    valkyria chronicles 2/3
    world of warcraft: cataclysm
maybe pokemon black/night since its targeting at older players and taking on a heavy rpg aspect.

'side from alan wake which is less than 7 days away every other big thing has been released, this small list is everything in gaming yet to come out im excited about. and honestly the lists never been that small before.

Yay, Vicky 2! Not that I'll buy it at release, mind you.

I'm excited that Microsoft is holding 2 conferences this year; one for their normal software showcase, and one completely for Project Natal (which is what I'm most interested in). Hopefully we'll get some gameplay footage of Metal Gear Rising, Gears 3, and some actual Natal games.

Usually though, the biggest games are usually saved for E3 itself, so here's hoping we'll see some big bombs dropped. Maybe the new Zelda will convince me to re-buy a Wii. After reading Edge's 10/10 review of Super Mario Galaxy 2, I might look for a used console later this year. The first SMG was the best game on Wii, imo.

    From that list:

    Mafia 2 (definite pre-order)
Naughty Bear (possible pruchase for a fiver a long ways down the road)
Medal of Honor (whether I'll pre-order or not is entirely up in the air, perhaps I'll wait till Xmas for that one)
Dead Space 2 (if I ever get around to Dead Space 1)
Gears of War 3 (must have)

I have a problem comparing sports teams, games and film from different eras.

It was just a different time. I would give it to SM3 or SM world.

No doubt this is an awesome game but if SM3 had the same advantages on the wii it would be a much closer call.

Speaking of Mario 3, I love the remixed tunes from that game in SMG and SMG2, they're still so catchy and memorable.

I've lost track of upcoming games of late, mainly cos ive got some damn good ones already that keep me more than busy! Im looking forward to Operation Arrowhead on the PC, and the new Medal of Honor game is showing promise & may get that franchise back on a par with CoD if they do it well

That's one of the reasons i posted the list. There are so many high quality AAA titles on the horizon that # 1: who can afford them all and # 2: who has time to play them all?

That is if regular sex and a cash flow are important to you.
