I have. Crazy Taxi, Jet Grind, Sonic, and House of The Dead. None of which I thought were as revolutionary as people make them out to be. But on the other hand I don't know much about games and I'm not an avid gamer.... Well, you don't have to be an avid anything in order to know what you like right? If you've already played them and still don't care for them i guess that's your right.

But play Shenmue for two hours and dare to say the same thing. With one of those DC cables, it holds up graphically against anything last gen (including top-end Xbox 1). Controls are a little cumbersome but it's easily the best story ever made on a videogame.

It's official, Dreamcast library coming to XBLA and PSN: http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/10/dr...bla-this-year/ Sega announced that those two games will be available this fall in North America and Europe, calling them the "first two classics" (Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure) to be released as part of Sega's plan to republish Dreamcast games on PSN and XBLA. The games will include improved resolution, surround sound, and modern amenities like online leaderboards, Achievements, and Trophies.

Truthfully if a game or add-on doeasn't have them I probably won't play it. But this is good news no? Just keep the titles coming. Any word on a release schedule tho? Like that new game every week summer event they always have?

This genuinely pisses me off. more so because i used to fucking do it too- and play shit games i might not normally finish for the e-penis points. Then i got a ps3 and stopped giving a fuck. often now i will get the ps3 version if there is one and i dont have friends with the 360 version if its got co-op. Because i play games for fun- and i know people who only play games on there 360 now because they dont see the point without achievements and i am so fucking glad i didnt get sucked into that. Achievements can add a bit of fun and longevity to the replay value of a game, but you should never dismiss games for not having them. your not only missing on most of the best games of all time its self limiting for the point of an imaginary number that means nothing and bears no relevance to anything. -and the thing is if they took the number away but kept the achievements certain people would baaaaw! up a storm and throw shit fits. and isnt that just a little sad.

And I'm not disagreeing with you but they got me son. That shit is like crack to me now. I don't know how to stop. Let me clarify tho. Nothing was going to stop me from playing Drake's Fortune and Heavy rain. But you'd best believe if there were 360 versions they'd be the one I'd get and it's due to the achievements. Another point. It's not playing for the points exclusively for the score but to complete game as close to 100% as possible. I like the fact that achievements have you doing things you would have never thought of otherwise.

Not only that but the 360 version gets the better review 90% of the time. Indeed and it's great fun achieving them... ...most of the time. Some of them are quite maddening and dare I say virtually impossible. One that i still don't have is actually from L4D. It's the survive a campaign without any survivors taking damage from special infected. First off, don't even attempt doing that with bots, just trust me on that one. As we all know they're dumb as shit, especially in the first game. I once made it with the bots on death toll all the way to the boat and as we went to go get on it that cock smoking, ball sniffing, salad tossing bastard francis gets boomed on! Needless to say I almost lost a controller that day. But on the different versions, why do you think that is? isn't the PS3 supposed to be a superior console? Isn't that the big draw? I know. It's the achievements.

^^^^ I actually beat hard rain on expert the other day with the bots for that matter !! If you're going to try it i recommend that one first. It's the most doable imo. Theren't aren't any crazy gauntlets or anything to run through which makes things much simpler.
