Anyone else get extremely irritated with steam when you want a quick blast on one of your games, but then when you try to launch it theres an update & it wont let you play until its installed, then it insults you even more by downloading from the slowest server in the world which takes hours? thats how im feeling tonight, I wanted a quick game of Left 4 dead 2, and its now been downloading the update for 3 hours Sometimes I cant even get on steam itself because of the steam platform updating, such a gash system that forces you to be constantly online to play games you've paid money for and should be entitled to play whenever you want!

Yeah I've had that with L4D2 a couple of times since I downloaded it the other day, ive had to shut down & re-open steam several times before it would work! It almost (but not quite) tempts me back to console gaming so I can just switch on & play, although by all accounts its going the same way on those too!
