Is PlayStation Plus A Good Deal?

Everyone I know with a PS3 says this same thing. All of em. "It's got a great blu ray player!" "What about the games?" "....Just look at this blu ray player!" Well it is a great player. Don't get me wrong. There are some critically acclaimed games for the system but I'm just not into them. If they are multi platform I will always go with the 360 version.

But its a computer!!! Imo, the ps3 suffers from the same ailment that plagues the psp. It does many things well but doesn't really excell at anything. Plus it's way to fucking confusing to navigate their menu screen and get done what you need to, like data tranfers and whatnot. This is especially true with the psp. They have to decide what they want to be and go with it. I might like like the direction the wii took but atleast they know what they are and do it well. Their sales numbers reflect that. They had a plan. Sony feels as if it has none. Their systems feel all over the place.

Yes, I read it, and I understand they're not taking anything away that they already give away for free, but this all goes back to - at least for me - gaming on the PC. I've NEVER had to pay to play online nor for addons or mods, So have you not got any games that run through Steam yet? theres a fair bit of cost starting to rack up on there for extra maps & so forth on various games, which are normally released within a few weeks of the game so they could have been included with it to start with then of course theres the fact they force you to be connected to the net to play, which is frustrating when someone else in the house is eating up your bandwidth causing lag, or the steam servers are down
