Potential Games and Movies to look forward to on 3DS.
    1) Star Wars - Lucasfilms is set to give the movies a 3D makeover annually they launch with Phantom Menace in 2012, The Force Unleashed 3 will be making a appearence on the platform too.
    2) Metal Gear Solid 2 and The Twin Snakes - there's big demand for the third game, these two can't be far behind.
    3) Silent Hill - touchscreen, microphone, 3D puzzles, motion sensor and camera all for a unique version of Silent Hill.
    4) Transformers - Dark of the Moon is set to be in 3D, I have hopes that War for Cybertron 2 will be a decent version.
    5) King Kong - Peter Jackson once said he wanted his movie to be 3D, it's pretty much made for it.

Super Mario 3DS and Netflix streaming announced:

    http://siliconera.com/2011/3/02/nint...re-on-netflix/

At Nintendo’s keynote presentation Wednesday morning at Game Developers Conference, the company said that the streaming movie service would be available on its new handheld game system in late summer. But perhaps more pertinent to the gamers in attendance was the news that the team behind the stellar Super Mario Galaxy is creating a new game in the series for the glasses-free 3D handheld.

Nintendo also elaborated on a partnership with Netflix to offer the service on the Nintendo 3DS. Starting in summer, Netflix members who have an unlimited plan will be able to stream movies and TV shows to the 3DS.

Return of the Tanooki suit by the looks of that logo.

Also, a few new Ocarina of Time screenshots:

Paid off my Cosmo Black 3DS today, hopefully picking up Ridge Racer and PES 2011 tomorrow.

Anyone else grabbing one at launch? I know it's already out in Europe, any impressions?

Graphically, it looks about equal to the current gen PSP, which is good but not really groundbreaking. I guess they're concentrating almost entirely on the 3D side of things.

    Resident Evil Mercenaries 3D
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Iw4r8HU7MM

This game illistrates where 3DS is at: it is a portable Xbox, it's not quite the poly pusher that Gamecube and Wii can be but it features more shading. However, this is Capcom's test game, it features online co-op runs in 60FPS (30FPS with 3D turned on) and is powered by the MT Framework Portable. Resident Evil Revelations is barely complete and features improved shading, Metal Gear Solid 3 was demoed with normal maps, motion blur and other effects.
In five years time we could be seeing Resident Evil 6 3DS? Dead Rising 3DS? Left 4 Dead 3DS? who knows, but it has some power packed into it and can do alot more then N64, PSP and DS ports, prior to E3 it was said to be 'beyond Wii close to PS3/360' by some devs.

So have any of you guys played on one of these then? I liked the idea but all I'm hearing about is how its making everyone who plays them feel sick or have banging headaches!

I own one but have mostly been playing AR games. I have the 3D effect maxed and while there was unease during the first two playthrough's I have had no problem since due to the adjustment.
The Sun (UK tabloid) claims there has been mass returns and complaints but it's been falsified by both retailers and Nintendo.

I played Pilotwings Resort at Best Buy a few days ago. I will purchase one, after I find a job, which may be very soon. The 3D effects looked good for a handheld without special glasses.

Purchased one at launch with Samurai Warriors. The 3D effect actually works as advertised! Also, the slide pad is perhaps the most comfortable control method I've used on a portable.

RE: Mercenaries, Zelda OoT, Devil Survivor Overclocked, Cave Story 3D and Dead or Alive Dimensions are all releasing in the next few months, so there should be plenty to play. I'm also loving the Home button, it suspends gameplay like the guide button on 360, letting you check your friend list, use the internet browser, write down game notes, etc. without having to quit your game, very intuitive.

As mentioned before, AR games and Face Raiders are a great pieces of pack-in software that have proven to be a big hit with everyone I've shown it to. Overall it's a great piece of tech.

I'll post my friend code when I get home later; anyone have luck with Street Pass? So far I've gotten 3 hits walking around local mall.

There will be updates, Nintendo confirmed one in May will unlock the internet browser and beyond that with certianty there will be others to record 3D video, 3DSWare ship, Netflix and to bring more AR games and features to the Camera (pop out 3D pics?). And mentioning pop out 3D I haven't played many games yet but that appears to be lacking at least according to reviews of the games thus far though I know it is capable of it as the 3D test demonstrated that effect.

This might be unrealistic as I don't know what 3DS can handle but Dead Rising 3DS anyone?
Like a version based on the original but using Dead Rising 2's improved mechanics and reorganised time and item locations to give the player plenty to do throughout the three days.
    Examples:
The 'Brainwashing Tips' book should appear in Pradise Plaza after you first encounter the cult and rescue the woman at 1PM day 2.
Day 3 should have featured more survivors, the last one you rescue appears at 12PM and then there's 24 hours of solid boredom. When doing the cases the military does arrive 12 hours earlier but they could get around that by having Frank escort the survivors to the enterance Plaza to escape through the hole in the fence or something.
Use of the 3DS motion sensor to take pictures and shoot weapons.

It is going to be like RE4 and RE5? I will get a copy with a 3DS after I find a job.
