    Toy Story 4?

Tom Hanks is suggesting Toy Story 4 is on the way?

I really enjoyed 3, but it sort of felt like it had reached the end... And doesn't need any more?
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. As you say, TS3 wrapped up the trilogy perfectly. I assumed they would wait a decade or more and then maybe revisit the characters to see where they are when Bonnie gets older, but nothing so soon.

On the other hand it makes sense. I believe TS3 was Pixar's largest financial success yet.

    No thank you, Mr. Hanks.

I agree, let it die already. The series ended on the perfect note. Hollywood doesn't know how to let a franchise end with class anymore. They squeeze every bit of revenue they can out of theatrical releases, like a pimp working a high-class escort till she's a two-bit whore, then when every last scrap of dignity is gone, they go for a couple straight-to-disc movies for good measure. Disgraceful.

Why not continue the characters in shorts like they've done recently in Hawaiian Vacation? I would have no problem with that. Just keep TS alive in shorts to show before their new original films.
