Just re-do RE2 instead of making one of their new shitty games that nobody wants to play. its too dated, it would not even be a remake, it would be an entirely new game based on the original. its far too old to 'upgrade' you can only do a complete rebuild in a new engine, they wouldnt do that back when they were a respectable brand name nowadays they wouldnt do it when they can sell a single save per card 3ds game for full retail price version of a resi 3-5 minigame.

you know what online it should have? demons souls style blood ghosts. see a bloodstain and it shows you how folks on your friends lists died in that area. i hope its not another dead space/resi 5 thing. too much action orientation. i wouldnt mind some more open areas. Like a woodland in a thunderstorm or something. i mean when i first heard about it i thought resi 4 was a sandbox game like dead rising and instead it was 'corridors' through those blair witch looking woods. Just imagine a resident evil set in like the woods of somewhere like the suicide forest at the foot of mount fuji, the sea of trees. No direction. ones persons final boss is your first and vice versa. you just explore and try to find a way out of a biohazard of horrific proportions. in fact, i know its called resident evil here, but for me the japanese name "BIOHAZARD" has always stuck and i would like that to be a focus more. sure there are monsters, but there IS a biohazard outbreak, make that more of an environmental thing. a tanker carrying something crashed in the woods and a stream you need to cross is now flesh eating poison or something i dunno.

A couple of things: I bet a total redo of the first 3 games being more like they are now gameplaywise would make some serious dough. My country ass would be all over it. I'm sure I'm not alone... Also, I've seen gameplay from 4 that was scrapped before we gots what we gots. I'd love to see some of that!!! It could be some easter egg action.

TGS is now over and no word at all on RE6. wonder what's up? in other RE news, i'm torn over whether or not to check out RE:ORC. hoping they have a demo of sorts. and in case anyone cares or missed it in another RE thread, i'm finally gonna give RE5 a shot, got the gold edition on the cheap. mainly buying it due to the fact that my new TV set turned me into an overnight graphics-whore and the game looks amazing. also very excited to play RE4 HD tuesday and start racking up some easy achievements. even though i am bummed that the games are now way more action oriented and lack any of the ambiance and eeriness of the original 3, they are decent action games, i suppose. just gotta try to not laugh my ass off about that little salazar guy...

hmm... interesting. Has all the touchstones of a resident evil trailer from capcom, right down to the english text with japanese subs- something theyve done in every game since at least 3 because they felt english voice acting made it more like the action movies that inspired the series. I'm guessing contrary to what they said this probably IS a sequel and not a new universe ala final fantasies sequels. Possibly a post apocalyptic one. Which to be honest is a bit too house of the dead for my liking, the big draw of resident evil was that it was going on in places that could be just outside your living room window, hence the name "resident" evil. Still, way better than the god awful korn trialer for silent hill downpour so lets wait and see. im gonna goe out on a limb and guess its set in a nuclear winter or something. just plucking that out of nowhere.
