so im in the movies watching the trailers before the avengers a few weeks ago............. i immediately knew the prometheus trailer when i saw it....looks like i was the only one to recognize it.... so i lean over to my friend once it's done and i say 'this is the prequel to alien' do you know this dumb bastard had the nerve to say 'how do you know?' and 'i bet you're wrong' ? gah, i swear.......sometimes you cant fix stupid. now like clockwork just as he always does............in a few weeks he will tell me this is a cool movie and its the alien prequel like i didnt tell him previously.

I always thought prequels were terrible. There are exceptions to this but the general rule is if it's related to the original movie it will suck, but if it is unrelated to the original, it can succeed as a film/movie.
