Xbox finally gets internet browser

About damn time.... I was browsing the new update and noticed internet explorer. Nothing else really worth talking about that I noticed besides the ability to pin apps to the home tab.

Nice. Like you said, it's about damn time! How they could have internet connectivity to this box and not have a browser was beyond me, but as with all things Microsoft, their motto is "Better way late than never."

I gave up trying to get on Live long ago, but i'm shocked that a Microsoft system didn't have IE from the beginning....

I never use my xbox for weird stuff like this, it seems so counterintutive, unless there's a reliable and convenient interface option I'm unaware of? I never use voice via kinect, either, but I guess it could be useful if voice works as advertised (I always assumed it would be a mess). That said, I have enough easy to use browser capable devices in my home as it is, so not needed for me.

Meh, at this point im done with the xbox. i turn it on for some single player games once in a blue moon and their nickle and dime "charge for what everyone else gives your for free" bullshit was just too much. Looking back i feel stupid for even paying to be able to play online on my own internet connection and for throttled downloads, but i stuck with the console for exclusive like alan wake and mass effect. At this point all these "gold subscribers" bonuses are things you can do on the average smartphone. Someones gonna be dumb enough to pay for it, but not me, at least not anymore.
