    Yeah, hopefully this'll be a good one - the Farrely Brothers have been on a right dud-streak of late, so perhaps this one will freshen them up again.

    It's going to be weird, but funny, to see Daniels goofing around after seeing him as Will MacAvoy in The Newsroom. Hopefully it'll recapture that goofy sense of chaos and silliness that the original had. Apparently they're going to top the toilet scene ... blimey.

    Take it you didn't like The Three Stooges? Once I was able to set aside my Stooge Fan Angst, I thought it was a right old laff. Saw it in a packed theatre & the whole crowd was roaring. Maybe we were the only ones who did find it funny though.

    It wasn't bad, especially NOT having Sean Penn in it as Larry. I guess I do need to put my personal fandom aside and check it out again. Same thing happened with The Beverly Hillbillies movie, but I'm still pretty sure that one was a turd no matter what.

    And finally, THE sequel. That prequel was one of the worst things I've ever seen. This movie is going to make so much lettuce!!!

    Not seen it either... But there's a couple of things that appeal to me about it...

    Mm. Pity. I was a strong advocate AGAINST based on my undying love for all things Stooge, but the kids wanted to see it, & I was quite plesently surprised. Mind you, if you don't like the Stooges, or that style of comedy, you won't like it, but if you can just accept it's not the REAL Stooges I thought they did a fantastic job of bridging the gap between the anarchistic Stooges & the modern world, intergrating them nicely & making it work, staying true to the core of what made the Stooges funny, didn't resort to much "bathroom" style humor, & the guys who played the Stooges were really good. I was SHOCKED to find out Larry was played by Sean Hayes, he did such a good job I didn't even recognize him until 90% of the way through the movie.
