The Human Centipede 2 (film) - Released in UK after 32 cuts

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-15203870

The Human Centipede 2 had been denied a rating but has now been rated 18 after its distributor agreed to 32 cuts.

BBFC president Sir Quentin Thomas said many would find it "difficult" to watch but that the cut film could "properly be classified at the adult level".

Two minutes and 37 seconds have been removed ahead of its DVD release.

Erm, that article was from October 2011.

I was sitting here confused and thinking 'I could have sworn this had already been released in the UK in a heavily cut form'.

I think pretty much everyone who wanted to see it has already seen it anyway.

And I'm not one of them, hehe.

I saw the first movie out of interest and it was just kind of silly with really naff characters - although Dieter Lazer (what a name!) was excellent as the mad doctor - but other than that it was a bit 'meh'. It looked good, but what was it really beyond a couple of shock moments? The idea of the movie is probably better than the actual movie (i.e. in terms of cultural penetration - spoofs and the like, e.g. the "CentiPad" episode of South Park). A second movie (never mind the upcoming third) just seems like a needless further bite at the apple.

I was actually impressed with the first one. Yes, it was utterly horrible, but it was done with style and solid production!

I really liked the first film, I have to say. It was a good and bizarre little horror film.

The second one, however, sounds like something that I can totally do without.
