    Bub in Quantum Leap

Watching Quantum Leap today, and had a strange feeling about the main male character in the episode - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0681162/

    Twas Bub (Sherman Howard)
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. He was also in an episode of Tales from the Darkside, a series created by Romero himself (another episode of this show also features Lori Cardille, and some episodes also feature music by the same guy who made the music for Day of the Dead, it is very easy to recognize the distinct "synthesizer" style.)

Oh, and Howard was also the highway patrol officer in a very cool movie about time-travel with James Belushi that many people did not see, called Retroactive.

I always found him distracting as one of the main henchmen in Lethal Weapon 2. He gets killed by Riggs(Gibson).

El Rey Network has been playing all episodes from the late 80s & early 90s TV show Freddy's Nightmares. Yesterday they played the episode with Sherman Howard:

He plays a scientist who conducts cruel experiments on a chimp. Had never seen this one before. The ending of this episode is quite twisted, not what you would expect should happen. It's always fun to see "Bub" playing other characters.

Wasn't he also the patient in the Seinfeld episode whom Kramer dropped the Junior Mint into during his surgery?

Watched a 1996 episode of Renegade yesterday on the H & I (Heroes & Icons) Network, and lo and behold, there he was, playing one of the bad guys who runs the "pipeline" to give new lives & identities to fugitives from the law: Sherman "Bub" Howard:
