I didn't even realized he died back in October last year. I know Return of the Living Dead (especially the second one) gets mixed feelings (or flat out hate) around here, but I happen to enjoy the first one and he was one of my favorite characters in it. Also poltergeist and the other 9,000 things he was randomly in.

Indeed, he was always one of my favorite character actors. To me, he was similar in a way to Dick Miller(who also recently passed)in that I always perked up with a smile when they would show up on screen.

He was one of the great character actors and it was nice to see that he got name checked at the Oscars for the In Memoriam segment. IIRC they used an image/clip from ROTLD for his appearance in the montage.

Nobody dislikes Return of the Living Dead except Bassman, and he's wrong. In the past I was tough on the film, yes, but I’ve since come around to it and really enjoy it!
