Hello HPOTD, I'd like to introduce myself to the community, I'm the Art Director on the Walking Dead Empires. What is TWDEMPIRES? It's a new MMO being built by Gala games and AMC partners. Let's dive in shall we?! Who wants to read when it's easier to show? Have a look at our current development build. It's live! (kinda like a pre-alpha beta as we're still building the world, adding systems and expanding the gameplay features).

Take a look at our pre-alpha screenshots. We're currently working towards bringing every part of the world up to this quality bar. New updates and areas are released monthly. With interiors coming later this year. (more on that later)....
Because we've partnered with AMC we've had the pleasure of bringing to life the many characters and personalities from the hit AMC show the Walking Dead. As well as creating new characters to meet in Empires. Stay tuned to see if your favorite is added.
 
 
We're targeting a very stylized approach to the world from the characters to world itself. The hope is a world that looks like the concept art that inspired it. Here was one of our early tests to create our first building as a visual target for the rest of the world.
Exploring the natural elements of the world.
A major component of the Walking Dead Empires is for the player(s) to build a base, This will serve as protection as well as a community you'll be able to build with a clan of your friends as you go out on supply runs, build protections, and fight neighboring and attacking factions. Do you buy, loot, steal, attack, share? It's all up to you.
You'll start from simple beginnings with a place to lay your head and hopefully a crafting table to start to create weapons, ammo, and gear for your journey into the world of the Walking Dead Empires.
Building by yourself is fun, but merging your base with someone else would be pretty epic right? Well, you can.
We're excited to share a sneak peek of characters that are currently available in the game as well characters coming soon to TWDEmpires.
What fun is a Walking Dead game without WALKERS! We've got a massive group of enemies and attack types, and we're adding even more as rival factions will be making an appearance soon.
Soon in our latest update you'll be able to enter the police station interior, we're still working out the scope of this feature and setting up looting and enemy encounters for these spaces, yet early tests are looking promising.
