TWD: "The Ones Who Live" (Rick/Michonne spin-off)... **SPOILERS**

There was an explanation in there, although I can't recall it verbatim. But I do recall her mentioning how she went back to that location and noticed the yellow 4x4 was now missing. She also talked about tracking their stops along the way, partly helped by them leaving empty "Tasteful Noods" packets at/near their camp sites. ... As for the end of the last episode...   I'm glad we got Rick and Michonne a happy ending and they were reunited with the kids - so that was all good. But you can also see how they were limited in what they could do/show - actor and location availability being a significant factor. We know that they're back home etc, but we don't actually get to see it, which is a bummer - but again, the aforementioned practicalities of the production rear their head. I kinda hope that perhaps in the Daryl Dixon spin-off we'll get a cameo appearance from Rick so he can be reunited on-screen with his "brother".

The strangest thing is that Morgan did not show up in this spinoff. When Fear The Walking Dead ended, the last we see of Morgan is in fact him trying to locate Rick again, and we are left with that task "pending". There was no closure to Morgan's story in FTWD, so I thought we would see it in the Rick & Michonne spinoff, which seemed like the most logical place for it to happen. But seeing as it did not happen, it seems like there will have to also be a Morgan spinoff, or Morgan and Rick will both show up in one of the two still ongoing spinoffs. I doubt it very much that the producers will leave Morgan in "plot limbo", wandering around forever without finding Rick again.

I doubt it very much that the producers will leave Morgan in "plot limbo", wandering around forever without finding Rick again. I gave up on FearTWD in the end. Couldn't be arsed with the final season after struggling through far too much of the previous seven seasons - I'd just had enough. I skimmed through to find Morgan's farewell scene, but had forgotten it until you brought it up - yep - another loose thread dangling. This is going to be a recurring problem with all these spin-offs here, there, and everywhere - just getting the cast available can be a headache, even during the main shooting (remember when Heath just vanished from the show entirely never to be spoken of again? ), so unless they can manage something very specific then we're gonna be left unresolved.

It certainly didn't drop the ball, but there were bits and pieces here and there that just needed little tweaks to make them work better on-screen - e.g. the jumping out of the chopper - just show us an exterior shot of the chopper flying low over a large body of water, Michonne seeing that body of water, and then making her move - that's all that would be needed to sell that. Instead what we got was Michonne yanking Rick out of the chopper with us, the viewer, unawares of how high up they were or what they were flying over. It's just poor storytelling of that particular moment. However, there was also a lot to really like about the show. Considering some limitations and the sheer amount of time that ended up passing, they did a solid job overall, but there was certainly room for improvement. I think the Daryl Dixon spin-off was a much better told story (season two is coming soon) and generally handled itself better, albeit with one or two wobbly moments (e.g. the big explosion in the zombie-filled moat, which Daryl easily survived while all the walkers got mulched - again, just gimme something simple, like a bloody big chunk of drawbridge wood for Daryl to hide under, or a stone wall corner to duck around). I think of these most recent spin-offs, Dead City has been the most disappointing and the biggest missed opportunity.

Walkers have got the Mr Muscle seal of approval - they are very absorbant, perfect for all kinds of stains and spills ... and all sorts of bullets and explosive ordinance.
