    Possession cancelled?

Okay, this disturbing quote recently came from Blitz/Volatile in regards to their much anticipated zombie game Possession.

"Hi there, Thanks for your interest in Possession. Unfortunately we still haven't managed to secure a publisher to take on the project. We haven't given up on Possession completely, we want to see it made as much as you do. We are pursuing other games at the moment though. Best regards, PR Dept, Volatile Games"
"Pursuing other games?" That's not very reassuring.

It looked interesting, but to be honest I wasn't balled over. Some elements of the game looked really lame to me, personally, perhaps they feel they've lost out to Dead Rising completely.

The zombie game market is a tough thing already it seems, you don't get many coming out, and they're certainly never an FPS.

I thought it looked pretty interesting, being able to control hoardes of flesh eaters and make them attack anyone you see. I seriously hope they get this one sorted 'cos I was really looking forward to it. Some of the corwded battles looked immense.

Other than a few random twenty second clips, this was all I could find.

Looks a bit strange to me (couldn't check the vid out last night) ... not really a proper zombie game to me. I want humans holding fort against a hoard of the undead in a city overrun with the blighters.

Yeah but the idea of being able to control the hoardes must appeal to yous in that 'oh, go on then' kinda way.

Yeah and it was this game that Stubbs probably ripped off, this title has been many years in development.
