Glad to hear that. I probably won't see it in the cinema and just get it on home video around about Christmas time.

    Nebraska:

    8/10

It took me a while to get into the groove of it, but I gradually got sucked into the story and the characters. It's a subtle kind of a flick, no grand overtures or big laughs, but it's heartfelt and touching and raised a few smiles along the way. Great performances all round.

Really? It's been ages since I last saw that film but in my memory it was really funny, awkward and well, good. Need to see it again probably as it's been close to twenty years ago and i was a snotty artwanker of a student last time around.

Finally went to go see it the other day and I'm glad to find that it lived up to the hype.

It's ok, Kris, but it's vastly overrated IMHO.

Aye, it's every art student's "cult" favorite (of a certain age anyway), but when you watch it again as an adult, you don't make any excuses for it.

Sort of like 'Withnail and I', but I'd rate that higher.

Ruth Gordon is still great though. But she's the same in every 70's film she was ever in.

Let's Be Cops: very good. It's one of those you'd expect the hilarious trailers to totally ruin, but they don't. They actually kind of sell it a bit short.
The trailers drew me in, but the actual movie was on a much higher level. Weird, because anything involving a Wayans family member usually consists of nothing more than dick jokes and homophobic grossness. It's a definite B+. It also earns its R rating.
I'd recommend seeing it however. No rush to the theater, though.
