    Only 6/10 for Watchmen? I loved how un-Marvel it was
    Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. Yeh, afraid so.

    It's a bloated, tiresome, monster that's good in parts, but suffers from too much Snyderism.

    I was never a fan of the comic TBH.

    Monster Club was great fun, with kick ass illustrations by the great Berni Wrightson in the humghoul segment, my favorite part. I had his comic book adaption of the movie for a time. The Vampire family was also wonderful camp, with the slayers lead by Donald Pleasance. And for those who never saw it;

    I really rather enjoyed it too - particularly in its extended director's cut form (which I felt was the superior cut of the movie). I had nerd rage for Snyder because of Dawn04, but I really enjoyed Watchmen, even though he's kind of holding himself together by sticking pretty close to the book (perhaps not always tonally, but literally - the images on the page ... thematics aren't really Snyder's strong suit). "Sucker Punch" was awful though ... never bothered with that owl movie ... and I really enjoyed Man Of Steel, even though Snyder doesn't know when to just bloody stop already. The battles in MoS go on waaaaaaay too long (especially at the end) and there's a stupid amount of distruction for a Superman movie, I feel. Enjoyed it overall, though.

    Anyway, yes, Watchmen - I really dug that movie, even with all the ruddy slow-mo.

    Yeh, the Humghoul part is my favorite too. It's probably the section that keeps me coming back TBH.

    The illustrations are great alright.

    Keith Lemon The Film

    1/10 ... truly an abomination.

    I enjoy Celebrity Juice (and have fond memories of Bo Selecta ... although that started going off-the-boil in series 3, and was shite thereafter), but Keith Lemon is a TV character and always will be, there's nothing cinematic about the character whatsoever. There's nothing cinematic about the movie either, which just looks like a Celebrity Juice segment with a bit of Magic Bullet slapped on it and a bunch of D-List cameos chucked about randomly. I've sat through some right old shit in my time, so it's rare for me to actually give up on a movie - but I ended up skimming through the rest of this with most of it on fast forward.
